Birgunj, December 5
Police in Parsa district on Monday seized a large consignment of pulses worth around 10 million rupees.
A police team intercepted and seized six trucks with Indian number plates, which were entering Nepal illegally with 1,350 sacks of pulses weighing around 40,000 kg. The consignment was from the bordering Khamiya village of west Champaran, India.
A team under Superintendent of Police Govinda Sah seized the consignment at Janaki Nagar-9 at 4 am on Monday. Police are yet to identify the importer.
