Kathmandu, January 7
Negotiators from the agitating United Democratic Madheshi Front have agreed to a government proposal to allow a political committee to resolve issues related to demarcation of provincial boundaries.
Front leaders also agreed to give the committee three months to resolve the issue. However, they are yet to agree on the ToR of the new mechanism.
Government negotiator Mahesh Acharya said discussions have been positive, and top leaders will now be consulted on this. UDMF negotiator Hridayesh Triphathi also informed talks were positive.
