Kathmandu, March 17
Finally, an India-conducted investigation has proved that there was no bomb inside the Nepal Airlines plane (call sign RA-206) despite bomb-on-board rumours that prompted cancellation of the flight, which was about to leave for Kathmandu from the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, at the last minute.
In the wake of rumours, security personnel had evacuated the plane, taken it under their control and scoured it. Yadav Raj Khanal, senior superintendent of police at the Nepali Embassy in the Indian capital, said the security check did not find any bomb on board.
The plane is preparing to leave Delhi for Kathmandu shortly.
