Kathmandu, March 18
Kathmandu district administration office has ordered police to keep UCPN-Maoist lawmaker Lharkyal Lama in custody for investigation for three more days.
In course of an investigation on the charge that lawmaker Lama had amassed property disproportionate with his means, the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority had recovered 14 bullets from his locker at Nepal Investment Bank in Durbarmarg on Sunday.
The CIAA had handed over Lama to the police office in Durbarmarg. Police had earlier received permission from the Kathmandu CDO to keep him in custody for five days for an investigation under the Arms and Ammunition Act. He was presented before the CDO after the five days were over.
