Kathmandu, July 2
Cricket Association Nepal (CAN) CEO Bhawana Ghimire has tendered her resignation from the post.
Ghimire, who was appointed to the post in October 2014, made the announcement in a tweet last night.
“I have decided that I can contribute more to Nepali cricket by staying out of the association,” she said.

Despite her resignation, she is still the ICC’s local coordinator for cricket in Nepal, at least until the Nepali team’s tour of the Netherlands scheduled for August.
Nepal’s cricket association was suspended by the ICC in April 2016 citing undue government interference in the game. The ICC’s general assembly endorsed the decision this week.
