Kapilvastu, July 6
Police on Tuesday arrested Asfaq Ahmad Halwai (42) with 99 bottles of Corex, at Krishnanagar municipality, Kapilvastu district.
A team from the Armed Police Force’s Revenue and Customs Security Battalion caught hold of Halwai while he was smuggling the drugs into Nepal from India.
An APF team under Sub-inspector Tul Bahadur Belbase led the operation, arresting Halwai at around 6.30 from Link Gate, Krishnanagar municipality-3, with the bike numbered Ra 2 Pa 4975.
Halwai hails from Koilabas VDC-2, Dang district. The team has handed Asfaq over to the Krishnanagar area police office for necessary action.
