Kathmandu, August 28
Former Minister and indigenous community leader Gore Bahadur Khapangi passed away on Saturday night, doctors said.
He was 70.
Khapangi breathed his last while receiving treatment at Kathmandu’s Neuro Hospital, where he was rushed to on Saturday after his deteriorated.
Khapangi, who was minister in King Gyanendra’s Cabinet, had been bed-ridden for a long time.
The former minister started his political career with CPN-ML, then left the party to establish Rastriya Janmukti Party. He is the current president of Liberal Democratic Party.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has condoled Khapangi’s death.
