Floods resulting from incessant rains swept away 11 houses in Beg-6, Myagdi district, on Thursday night.

According to police, floods resulted the houses located at Begkhola village along the Beni-Jomsom road. Lokendra Singh Gurung, inspector at Myagdi district police office, said floods swept away two bridges.

According to police, Prasad Sinjali, a local, is missing. Other locals managed to flee the scene and save their lives.

Inspector Gurung said efforts are on to move four households at high risk to safer locations.The houses in the Begkhola village near the Beni-Jomsom road were swept away, according to the District Police Office. Likewise, a bailey bridge and a suspension bridge over the Begkhola along the road were also swept away, police said.

Four families at risk of being swept away have been shifted to safer location. Locals and police are working to evacuate people to safer areas.
Meanwhile, a team from the Nepal Red Cross Society has left for the affected site along with relief materials for the flood affected.
