Kathmandu, September 16
India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi commended the role his Nepali counterpart played in establishing peace in Nepal, at a joint press conference following a meeting of the two leaders in New Delhi on Friday.
Modi, in his press remarks, said Prachanda played the role of a catalytic force for peace in Nepal. He said, “I am confident that under your wise leadership, Nepal will successfully implement the Constitution through inclusive dialogue, accommodating the aspirations of all sections of your diverse society.”
Dahal, in his remark, thanked the Indian government for the hospitality accorded to him, and said India and Nepal now need to focus on implementing co-operation projects in a time-bound manner. He said that the meeting was fruitful, and economic and development issues received most of the attention.
