Kathmandu, September 23
Four people, including an unidentified Spanish national, died in a landslide on Manaslu trekking route on Thursday. Six people suffered injuries in the disaster.
SP Janak Raj Pandey, chief, Gorkha district police office, said four trekkers, including a Spanish national, died in a landslide that occurred at Dovan, Keraunja VDC-9, Gorkha district, at around 8 am.
Police are yet to ascertain the identity of the Spanish tourist. According to Pandey, Dorje Lama and Chhiri Sherpa, temporary residents of Gokarna, Kathmandu, and Ranjana Basnet of Okhaldhunga district died in the landslip.
Pandey further informed that a Fishtail Air chopper airlifted the injured to Kathmandu.
