Kathmandu, October 17
The chance meeting between heads of government of Nepal, China and India on the sidelines of the BIMSTEC Summit in Goa on Saturday evening was informal but the conversation was serious, Prime Minister Prachanda’s personal secretary Prakash Dahal has said.
Dahal, who is also the Prime Minister’s son, said he posted a photo of the three leaders (above) on social media after taking their consent, and not out of his personal discretion.
Dahal’s comment comes as India’s Ministry of External Affairs termed the meeting as an informal ‘chat’ rather than a serious trilateral meeting. He told Onlinekhabar, “The meeting between the leaders was important, but the media in Nepal focused its attention on trivial issues.”
