Kathmandu, October 18
A grand reception is in the offing for Indian President Pranab Mukherjee in the historic city of Janakpur as officials prepare for his state visit to Nepal in the first week of November.
Mukherjee, who is coming to Nepal on a state visit upon the invitation of President Bidya Devi Bhandari, is scheduled to visit Janakpur, Lumbini and Pokhara.
The Indian head of state, who is to land in Kathmandu on November 2, will attend a civic reception after offering prayers at the Janaki temple.
The reception, organised by the city’s civic body, will be followed by a programme to lay the foundation stone for the construction of the Postal Highway, local officials told RSS.
