Kathmandu, May 8
Onlinekhabar has launched an interactive election data portal featuring information about upcoming local level elections.
Election.onlinekhabar.com has a map which has interactive information about all 744 local bodies and candidates of various parties in local bodies of provinces 3, 4 and 6, which will hold elections on May 14.
Likewise, the portal features various infographics and election-related news stories in Nepali.
The portal will do a live coverage of vote counting and publication of results after the polls, according to Onlinekhabar Founder and Editor-in-Chief Dharma Raj Bhusal.
“We are very excited to launch this data portal on the occasion of local level elections, which will be agents of development and prosperity,” Bhusal says, “We hope this portal addresses all curiosities about the polls as it has information on geography, population, political parties and candidates.”
The data portal is not funded by any national or international organisation and uses latest global technologies, he adds.
