Kathmandu, May 23
Amid speculations that Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is likely to resign today, the CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has suggested that Dahal should not quit before holding the second phase of local level elections scheduled for June 14.
Speaking with journalists at a press meet in the Capital today, Oli said Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba should also wait till the polls to take charge of the government.
Accusing Deuba of piling pressure on Dahal for the resignation, Oli said changing the government leadership now could affect preparations for the elections.
He also commented that Dahal has become restless due to Deuba’s pressure.
