Kathmandu, June 29
The CPN-UML is leading the vote count in local units of provinces 1, 5 and 7 that went to local level elections on Wednesday.
As of 12 pm, vote counting has started in most of 334 rural municipalities and municipalities and the UML is closely followed by the Nepali Congress.
While the UML is leading the count in 22 units, the Congress is first in 18 places.
The CPN-Maoist Centre is leading in 10 places.
Fringe parties are also leading in few units.
The UML had turned victorious in the highest number of local levels in the Phase-I polls held on May 14 as well. The Congress was closely following it in the first phase as well.
