CPN-UML’s Devendra KC has become elected the chief of Myagdi District Coordination Committee through drawing of lot after he and his rival got equal votes.
Among 12 voters qualified to cast votes for the DCC, six had supported KC and six others had supported Nepali Congress.
Then, the two parties had decided to use the drawing of lot.
Meanwhile, Lok Bahadur Malla of Nepali Congress has been elected the deputy chief. Among members, five have been elected from Congress and four from UML.
Earlier, in the second phase of local level elections held in June, the UML had won the chairpersonship of a local unit in Jhapa district through drawing of lot after she polled equal votes with the Nepali Congress candidate.
