Nawalparasi, August 4
A landslide in Daunne of Nawalparasi district has obstructed the East-West Highway since Thursday midnight.
Police station in Bardaghat says efforts are underway to reopen the road after clearing landslide debris. However, incessant rainfall has made it difficult to continue work, police say.
Vehicles have been stopped in Dumkibas in the east and Bardaghat in the west due to the landslide.
A bulldozer of the Road Division Office has been deployed to clear debris. Police say obstructed traffic movement might resume after around three hours.
The incident site is 50 metres west from the Daunne Police Beat.
