Butwal, August 9
CPN-Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal says his party also wants to hold the elections to the Provincial Assembly and the House of Representatives at federal level together.
While chiefs of two other major parties have publicly advocated for holding two elections together, the chief of third biggest party has said his party will support the idea.
The Election Commission, however, has been saying that conducting both polls together can be legally and logistically difficult; and pushing the government and parties to accept the idea of using electronic voting machines for easiness.
But, Dahal today said there would not be any constitutional complication in holding the polls together.
The former Prime Minister also said three big parties would discuss this issue further very soon and fix a date of November-December to hold the polls.
Meanwhile, he warned that the Rastriya Janata Party Nepal would vanish if it boycotted the elections.
