CPN-Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal says he will hold a meeting with Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahaudr Deuba today to be clear about the PM’s plan on reported Cabinet reshuffle.
After Deuba inducted eight leaders of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party into his Cabinet on Friday, it is expected that he is planning to relieve the ministers representing the Maoist party of their portfolios so as to put pressure on them to resign.
“There are concerns about the status of our ministers and I am going to meet the PM today to know what he wants,” Dahal said while addressing a function organised by his party’s student wing, “On the basis of that, we will make an appropriate decision.”
Meanwhile, he maintained that the party was committed to implementing the agreement with the Congress to support this government till the conclusion of elections.
Dahal also reiterated that his party decided to unify with the CPN-UML to prepare grounds for socialism in the country.
He said the unified party would pay due respect to the armed conflict that the Maoist party had waged for 10 years.
