Kathmandu, October 22
Former state minister and the General Secretary of Nepal Democratic Forum, Mustak Alam, joined the CPN-UML party on Sunday.
Alam decided to join the UML after Forum’s Chairman Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar merged the party with Nepali Congress.
Accompanied with UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, who also hails from Alam’s Rautahat district, Alam had gone to UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli’s residence in Balkot of Bhaktapur today to receive the welcome.
Oli and his deputy Bamdev Gautam welcomed Alam to the party in Balkot.
On the occasion, Alam said he decided to join the UML after being inspired from the party’s nationalist policy and strong leadership of its Chairman.
