Kathmandu, January 18
CPN-Maoist Centre spokesperson Pampha Bhusal says her party will merge with the CPN-UML before the formation of new government under the leadership of unified party.
“The Party Unification Coordination Committee has been working for the merger very fast,” Bhusal says, adding the two parties do not have significant differences over the ideology and they are also settling organisational and managerial issues through a task force.
Speaking with journalists at an interaction in Kathmandu today, the leader added that the division of roles between incumbent two chairpersons–KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal–will also not be any issue for the unification.
“After the unification,” she said, “Both the chairperson and the prime minister will be from the same party.”
In another context, she commented that the government decisions to appoint province chiefs and name temporary provincial capitals paved the way for new government formation though the decisions were not based on consensus.
