Surkhet, February 11
An unidentified group in Birendranagar, the district headquarters of Surkhet district in Province 6, exploded a bomb at the office of Indian construction company, GMR Group, here.
The company had opened the office to facilitate Upper Karnali Hydropower Project construction works. The government has contract the company to build the 900-megawatt project.
The explosive at around 10:30 pm on Saturday destroyed compound walls, according to police.
Police deployed for the security of the office say they do not know how the incident occurred. Meanwhile, police have arrested three persons in connection with the case.
The District Police Office says further investigation is underway.
