
Kathmandu, July 2
A ruling made by Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara in the House of Representatives meeting on Monday states that the government must respond to the issued raised by lawmakers during the zero hour and the special hours of the House meetings.
In the meeting held on Monday, Speaker Mahara also drew the attention of the government towards the provisions mentioned in the House regulation that requires the government to answer the lawmakers.
The ruling was made after various lawmakers criticised the government and concerned ministries for ignoring the questions raised during the session.
After the end of zero and special hours, the Speaker made the ruling to answer all the queries as the topics raised during the meeting were important.
As per the rule 15 sub-rule 2 of the regulation, the concerned minister must respond to the issues within five days.
