The main opposition party Nepali Congress on Friday has postponed its Central Working Committee meeting scheduled for today.
The party’s Central Office Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel says the meeting will take place at 1 pm on Monday, at the central office in Sanepa of Lalitpur.
The meeting has been postponed due to a ‘special reason’, Paudel informs without divulging the details.
The meeting was called to discuss and form the party’s official opinions on contemporary political issues. Likewise, it was also expected to hold a discussion on proposed amendments to the party’s statute.
The party is scheduled to hold a mahasamiti meeting in November in order to revise its organisational structure and statute in line with the country’s federal structure.
