Hetaunda, April 17
Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa said that the government was still trying to make Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’-led party to join main stream politics.
Speaking at the provincial security meeting in Hetaunda, Thapa said that the government had put a ban on the ‘terrorist’ group because its actions were unconstitutional.
“We had to arrest their senior leader because their actions were unconstitutional. But we are trying to reach an agreement with Netra Bikram Chand,” added Thapa.
Thapa, however, did not mention what the government was doing to make sure the group joined mainstream politics.
The Home Minister added that the government had also arrested CK Raut due to his anti-national activities before he gave up those actions.
