Chitwan, April 30
A person died in a rhino attack at Bhangaha, Bharatpur Metropolitan City-28, of Chitwan district.
The deceased has been identified as Khadendra Kumar Mahato, 46, of the same locality, according to the District Police Office, Chitwan.
Police said that the wild beast had attacked Mahato while returning home from fishing.
Critically injured from rhino attack, Mahato died while undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College at 3:30 this morning. He was attacked by the animal at around 9:00 pm on Monday.
Chitwan’s Chitwan National Park is a home to around 600 one-horned rhinoceros.
