The new bridge over Trishuli River in Mulgin of Chitwan along the Prithvi Highway will come into operation after a few weeks now, according to authorities.
The bridge construction will be over by June 15, they inform.
Meanwhile, vehicles will be barred from crossing the bridge for nine hours everyday, 11 am to 2 pm and 9 pm to 2 am, everyday till the construction will be over.
After the existing bridge turned dilapidated, the new bridge construction had begun four years ago. The contractor, Elite Adventure Lohani JV, was given a deadline of mid-April this year for the project.
As the contractor could not move the project smoothly citing various reasons, the deadline was extended by two months.
The fresh deadline is also expiring on June 15.
The World Bank has invested Rs 120 million in the project.
