886 Indian nationals are jailed in Nepal

Kathmandu, February 7

The Indian government informs its 886 citizens are jailed in Nepal.

As per the information shared by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs with the Rajya Sabha, the Upper House of Indian parliament, over 7,000 Indians are living in 132 countries across the world as prisoners and detainees. Of them, 886 are in Nepal.

Saudi Arabia is at the top of the chart as it has jailed 1,599 Indians. It is followed by the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, Qatar, Malaysia, and Italy respectively.
