Chitwan, September 14
Three persons died when a bus and truck collided head-on in Gaindakot of the Nawalpur (Nawalparasi East) district along the East-West Highway on Tuesday morning. Other 24 persons have sustained injuries in the accident.
The bus (Sudurpaschim Province 02-001 Kha 1123) and the truck (Na 6 Kha 7126) had collided near Smritipul, Gaindakot-10 at around 4 am today. The collision resulted in the bus falling around 10 feet down the road, informs the District Police Office Information Officer Dilip Kumar Giri.
The victims, two women and a man, are yet to be identified. They had breathed their last while undergoing treatment at the Naya Medical College, Bharatpur in the Chitwan district.
Other injured are also undergoing treatment at the same health facility.
