Pokhara, October 11
Eight persons have died whereas one sustained a minor injury in a road accident in Ghandruk, a popular tourist attraction near Pokhara, Nepal’s tourism capital, in the Kaski district on Monday.
An SUV (Ga 1 Ja 6,900) heading towards Ghandruk from Nayapul fell off the road, killing eight on the spot, SP Ramesh Thapa, the chief of the District Police Office, says.
Bodies are being taken to Pokhara.
The victims are yet to be identified whereas the cause of the accident is not known yet.
