Kathmandu, August 29
The Kathmandu metropolitan city has decided to deploy at least a general physician and a nurse in each ward.
A municipal executive meeting of the capital city held on Sunday made the decision by endorsing the proposal floated by Mayor Balen Shah.
From now onwards, each ward office will also have a clinic, where the public can visit to get services from physicians and nurses.
Likewise, the Kathmandu metropolitan city government has also decided that there will be an engineer in each ward to supervise construction works in the ward.
Meanwhile, the meeting decided to recruit four to five food inspectors in the city. The food inspectors, who will be food technology graduates, will monitor food supplies to be sold at shops in the city.
