The art exhibition “Connection of Thoughts” has kicked off at Classic Gallery, Patan featuring the works of 10 emerging artists who explore themes of self-discovery and cultural identity. The exhibition invites viewers to reflect on their surroundings and the significance of understanding one’s roots in the artistic process.
According to a press statement released by Classic Gallery, among the artists is Samana Rai, a printmaker whose work delves into cultural transformation through personal memories, bridging past, present, and future. Sudan Shrestha’s introspective pieces highlight the ephemeral nature of personality, while architect Ojashwi Shrestha reimagines urban landscapes, reconnecting with her childhood experiences.
Hisila Maharjan’s art, inspired by her travels, symbolises freedom and the release of excess baggage. Saran Tandukar’s exploration of divine themes challenges traditional notions of good and evil, aiming to awaken creative consciousness. Yambang Thapa Magar seeks internal freedom, and Nhuja Shrestha views confusion as a source of creativity.
Sujan Bir Bajracharya questions the cultural significance of food, while Sharmila Tamang captures urban birds’ emotions, expressing a yearning for freedom. Sonam Chamling Rai connects random memories to reveal the sublime aspects of human experience.
“Connection of Thoughts” encourages viewers to appreciate the interconnectedness of art and life, celebrating how each experience shapes our understanding of self and society.
The exhibition continues till September 20.
