The Nepal Art Council, in partnership with the Government of Nepal’s Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies and the Trade and Export Promotion Center, launched a new book, Realm of the Deities on October 16. This landmark publication, released at the Nepal Art Council, is designed to highlight the rich artistic and cultural heritage of Nepal, showcasing images and articles about deities from various exhibitions.

The book contains 198 artworks by 151 renowned Nepali artists and features seven in-depth articles written by scholars. Contributors like Sagar SJB Rana and Kanak Mani Dixit delve into Nepal’s Hinduism, Tantric traditions, and Buddhism, as well as the preservation and return of cultural artefacts.

Realm of the Deities aims to serve as a unique and high-quality gift for dignitaries, reflecting Nepal’s cultural identity. Its diverse images capture the artistic and philosophical heritage embedded in Nepal’s deities and cultural practices, promoting a greater appreciation of Nepal’s cultural richness on an international level. The book also includes new images of Nepal’s natural and community heritage, aligning these with the country’s broader artistic and cultural narrative.
