The stock market fell by 13.53 points (0.53%) on Sunday, the first trading day of the week, closing at 2,583.29 points.
A total of 319 securities were traded across 57,863 transactions. On this day, 9.18 million shares worth Rs 4.51 billion were bought and sold.
Except for the hydropower and manufacturing/processing sectors, all other sub-indices saw a decline. Investors in the development bank sector faced the largest loss, with a 2.05% drop, while the investment sub-index declined by 1.18%.
Despite the market’s downturn, four securities hit the positive circuit breaker. Support Microfinance, Barahi Hydropower, and Nyadi Hydropower recorded a 10% increase in share value, while Super Madi Hydropower rose by 9.99%, and People’s Power gained 9.71%.
Conversely, shares of Saptakoshi Development Bank witnessed the highest drop, declining by 6.40%. Maya Khola Hydropower fell by 6.12%, Garima Development Bank by 4.52%, and Narayani Development Bank by 4.38%.
River Falls Power Company saw the highest transaction value of the day, with Rs 220.3 million worth of shares traded.
