
Kathmandu, December 23
Mega Skills Expo 2024, jointly organised by Helping Hand for Relief and Development USA/ Nepal, Helping Heart Nepal and Work for Nepal, successfully concluded on Sunday at Mangalbare Bazar, Kamal Rural Municipality, Jhapa.
The expo featured 18 skill stalls of Skill Development and Livehood Program graduates and local products. The event showcased live demonstrations, success stories, and networking opportunities, empowering individuals and communities by transforming skills into careers.

The program inaugurated by Ek Raj Karki, Minister for Water Supply, Irrigation, and Energy of Koshi Province.
“This expo holds great significance to promote the local talents and products,” said Ek Raj Karki. Such expo such taken place in longer run in all the parts of the country.”
According to the organizers, the expo aimed to showcase talent, raise awareness, facilitate collaboration, and expand opportunities. They added that the expo also aimed to inspire graduates to transition from job seekers to job creators, fostering sustainable development and making a lasting impact on their communities. It sought to engage youth, community members, and employers in a collaborative environment for growth and empowerment.
Hukum Singh Rai, Chairperson of Kamal Rural Municipality, stated, “The expo has significantly contributed to promoting local talents and products.”
Kamal Rural Municipality is always eager to collaborate on such initiatives, he added.
