
Renowned celebrities have taken the initiative to promote tourism through a travel documentary series titled “Yatra Nepal.” Notable figures such as Manisha Koirala and Rajesh Hamal have begun filming the series, aiming to showcase Nepal’s diverse tourist destinations.
Recently, Manisha Koirala, celebrated for her role in Netflix’s “Heeramandi,” visited the Annapurna Base Camp and Ghandruk in Kaski for the show’s shoot. Photos reveal her enjoying the scenic trails of Ghandruk and the Annapurna Circuit. Manisha, an avid trekker, encouraged travelers to explore Nepal’s natural beauty. Previously, she has trekked destinations like Switzerland and Everest Base Camp.

Rajesh Hamal, meanwhile, promoted tourism by visiting various villages in Palpa, his birthplace, earlier this year. His segment highlights local culture, traditions, and people, urging visitors to explore Palpa and its surrounding areas. Filming for Hamal’s portion, including Tansen, has already been completed.
The “Yatra Nepal” documentary series is directed by Dasharath Sunar and is being produced for VFY Talks. Although the broadcasting platform is yet to be finalised, the series will feature 16 episodes, with prominent personalities promoting various tourist destinations.
Indian spiritual guru Ma Anand Sheela has promoted Dhulikhel in Kavre, while former Prime Minister and Maoist Center Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal is set to highlight cultural and guerrilla trekking routes. Director Sunar confirmed preparations are underway for Prachanda’s segment.
Additionally, cricketer Paras Khadka will focus on promoting sports tourism, and singer Ani Choying Drolma will showcase the significance of music and spirituality.
The documentary series is expected to stream within the next month.
