Nepal imports nearly Rs 15 billion worth of EVs in 7 months

Kathmandu, February 21

Nepal has imported nearly Rs 15 billion worth of electric vehicles (EVs) in the first seven months of the current fiscal year 2081/82 BS.

According to the Department of Customs, by the end of Magh, Nepal had imported 6,256 units of EVs, amounting to Rs 14.75 billion.

The government has collected Rs 9.08 billion in revenue from these imports.

Nepal imports EVs primarily from China, India, South Korea, Germany, and the United States.
