Kathmandu, July 29
Biplav-headed CPN-Maoist on Friday warned India against seeking to suppress Nepal’s Maoists by pointing at alleged threat to the security of the Koshi Barrage from international terrorist organisations.
In the name of suppressing international terrorists, India is plotting to suppress Nepal’s Maoists, the Maoist party has concluded. This will be suicidal for India itself, Kanchan, chief of the party’s International Department, said in a press release.
The release states: India is seeking to push Nepal’s struggle for independence into oblivion. India’s strategy is to keep Nepal under the shadow of fear and control it through interventionist and meddlesome approaches, the release reads, adding: The Indian ruling class is trying to hatch plots against Nepal’s and world’s Maoist revolutionaries in a planned manner. This will prove suicidal for India.
The Maoist party made it clear that India’s tendency of piling pressure on Nepal’s Maoist movement or its suppression will not be able to deter Nepali peoples’ movement for national independence.
The release reads: Organisations like Lashkar-e-Toiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed neither have anything to do with Nepal nor can the Maoist movement have anything to do with them. The Indian ruling class’ propoganda is a plot of international capitalists in Nepal to suppress the proletariats’ liberation movement and sabotage revolutions.
For sometime, the Indian media have been pointing that Nepal’s Maoists may even demolish dam, the Maoist party said referring to the Koshi Barrage, warning the media to stop such propaganda.
The press release reads: This will have no effect on Nepali peoples’ decades-long struggle for independence and the campaign for the establishment of people’s rule in Nepal. On the contrary, India will have to face massive resistance.
