Kathmandu, March 31
Nepal cricket team’s former coach Pubudu Dassanayake is arriving in Kathmandu on Monday to help the team during the upcoming fixture against Namibia.
Nepal play Namibia in a two-match series in the World Cricket League Division I on April 16 and April 18.
The series is being played in Nepal, but will be managed by the world governing body ICC.
ICC’s Asian Development Manager Bandhula Warnapura told Onlinekhabar that Dassanayke will join the team as consultant coach during the tournament, and will have no say in the selection process.
The former Sri Lankan international had returned to Canada in November 2015 following a row in Nepal’s Cricket Association.
