Kathmandu, July 1
Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has directed all NC-affiliated organisations and party’s well-wishers to rescue victims of flooding and landslides and provide them required assistance.
In a press release issued on Friday, Deuba called NC organisations and party’s well-wishers to help local bodies involved in the rescue and relief efforts.
“Many people have gone missing, hundreds have suffered injuries in flooding and landslides that have also destroyed property in several parts of the country, including Dhading, Gorkha and Dolakha. This has saddened the Nepali Congress,” party’s chief secretary, Krishna Prasad Poudel, said in a press release.
The party called the government of Nepal to get involved in rescue efforts and relief distribution without delay.
