A huge crowd of devotees has gathered at Pashupatinath Temple on Wednesday to mark the auspicious occasion of Maha Shiva Ratri. The temple, one of the holiest sites for Hindus, opened its four main doors at 2:00 AM to accommodate the influx of worshippers.

“The crowd, which started arriving at 2:00 AM, has been increasing significantly,” said Rebati Raman Adhikari, Spokesperson of the Pashupati Development Trust.

To ensure a smooth flow of devotees, the trust has arranged four lines from the outer premises of the Pashupati area and eight lines inside the temple. Worshippers have been standing in queues without any major difficulties.

Various organizations, including the Nepali Army, have set up free health camps to provide medical assistance to visitors.

This year, special attention has been given to the decoration of the temple premises. The Pashupati area has been adorned with flowers and lights, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere. Many devotees are seen capturing the beautifully decorated surroundings in photographs. The Pashupati Development Trust has stated that the flowers used for the decorations have been imported from India.
