
Kathmandu, May 17
The Standard Chartered Bank Nepal says it has donated Rs 11.6 million to the government’s Covid-19 response fund.
The bank’s CEO Anirvan Ghosh Dastidar and Head of Corporate Affairs, Pranu Singh, handed over a cheque worth the amount to Minister for Commerce, Lekh Raj Bhatta.
On the occasion, Dastidar said, “As a bank with 33 years of presence in Nepal, we would like to reiterate our commitment to the country. Living by our brand promise to be here for good, we hope that this contribution will further support in our fight against the pandemic.”
In response, minister Bhatta thanked the bank for the support on behalf of the Nepal government.
