Kathmandu, March 7
Nepali Congress central committee member Khum Bahadur Khadka has campaigned for Sher Bahadur Deuba, one of the two leaders in the race to become party president.
Khadka was seen campaigning in Deuba’s favour near the City Hall, where voting in the second round of elections is taking place.
“Although Khadka is ill, he is here to help Deuba,” an aide to Khadka tld OnlineKhabar. “He has always said Deuba is the most worthy leader to become party president.”
Khadka has been diagnosed with kidney ailments. He recently returned to Kathmandu after receiving treatment in New Delhi. He is wearing a mask to protect himself from getting an infection, the aide said.
