Kathmandu, March 21
China’s President Xi Jinping has expressed hope there will now be political stability in Nepal with the country’s new constitution already promulgated.
President Xi said during talks with Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and members of his entourage, on Monday afternoon. The Nepali team met Chinese President Xi at 4 pm Chinese time.
All four ministers accompanying PM Oli and other government officials were present at the meeting, Mohan Shrestha, personal secretary of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Kamal Thapa, told Onlinekhabar.
This visit has deepened relations between Nepal and China, Shrestha quoted PM Oli as saying.
PM Oli met his Chinese counterpart Li Kequiang on Monday morning. Nepal and China signed 10 agreements in the presence of two PMs.
