Nepali Society (Texas) has asked for help to dispatch the body of Rusal Shrestha, a college student based in Texas, to his family based in Paknajol, Kathmandu, as per their wish. The society informed that the student died in a car crash at 10.30 pm in South Dallas, Texas, on March 19.

Quoting local police, Krishna Lamichhane, chair of Nepali Society (Texas), said the 19-year-old died on the spot in a crash involving a car that he was driving. Another student, who was on board, had his left hand fractured in the crash. The injured student is in normal condition.

The accident occurred when Rusal was dropping his friend to the workplace. The car that Rusal was driving fell into a hole after he took a wrong turn. Police had taken out Rusal’s body after cutting off the car’s door.

The Nepali youth had come to the United States for higher education in August, 2015. His parents and sister are in Nepal. Rusal’s friends informed they had come to Texas from Michigan. Friends described Rusal as studious and friendly. Lamichhane said they have already informed Rusal’s family about his death. We are awaiting a decision from his family and are ready to help them as per their wish, he said.
