Police have arrested the alleged mastermind behind the murder of media baron Arun Singhaniya. Unidentifed people had shot and killed Singhaniya, the publisher of Janakpur Today, at Shiva Chok, Janakpur, about five years ago.
Police said they nabbed Chandradip Yadav from Wakil Tole, Dhanusha, along with his lover Kalyani Devi Yadav.
Yadav used to engage in criminal activities in Nepal from Jaynagar of India, according to police. Yadav is said to be close to Sanjaya Takla, who is behind bars for his involvement in a blast in Janakpur that killed four people.
Yadav also faces charges of murdering Rajendra Prasad in Dhanusha about a month ago, and firing at Nasid Miya and Ram Sogharat Mahato around the same time.
