Kathmandu, March 16
NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba has told a visiting delegation from Beijing that Nepal is committed to One China policy.
The delegation, led by the Director of Chinese Communist Party’s International Department Yuan Jibing, called on Deuba at his residence on Thursday morning. According to Deuba’s secretariat, Nepal’s current political situation and Sino-Nepal relations figured in the conversation.
The delegation extended its invitation to Deuba to visit China. Deuba accepted the invitation and said Nepal remains committed to One China policy.
The Congress chief assured the delegation that the constitution will be amended and Madheshi parties brought on board to conduct civic elections on the pre-scheduled date.
