A cadre of the CPN Maoist party led by Netra Bikram Chand died after an improvised explosive devise that he had possessed went off, in Dangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City of Kailali district on Monday night.
Chandra Singh (29) breathed his last at the Seti Zonal Hospital while undergoing treatment.
The explosive he had possessed had gone off near the Kailali Bridge in Dhangadhi-4 at around 9:55 pm yesterday.
A permanent resident of Jugeda, Dhangadhi-12, Singh had sustained injuries in many parts of his body in the explosion.
In the run-up to the second phase of local level elections scheduled for tomorrow, the Maoist outfit has been carrying out various criminal activities in a bid to foil the poll environment.
