Kathmandu, June 5
International NGOs operating in Nepal are preparing to spend Rs 25 billion in the forthcoming fiscal year 2019/20.
According to the Ministry of Finance, a total of 136 programmes will be hosted by various international NGOs this fiscal year.
There are over two dozen international NGOs operating throughout the country.
International NGOs operate their programmes after signing a multi-year agreement with Nepal government. According to the agreement for the next fiscal, they will spend Rs 24.79 billion in the coming fiscal year, says the Ministry of Finance.
International NGOs have spent in excess of Rs 24 billion in the current fiscal year as well.
