Oli seeks updates from ministers in his 2nd video call

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli participates in a ‘Cabinet meeting’ via video conferencing, on Monday, August 26, 2019.

Kathmandu, September 3

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Tuesday held a video conversation with members of his Cabinet and sought updates from individual ministries. He is currently in Singapore for treatment.

Earlier last week, Oli had held a conversation with the ministers via video conferencing. It had sparked a controversy then as his chief political advisor Bishnu Rimal said it was a Cabinet meeting. No one has named the call held today a ‘Cabinet meeting’.

A minister informs Onlinekhabar that there was not any specific agenda in the meeting today. The prime minister asked the ministers what was going on with their jobs and the ministers updated him, according to the minister.

Earlier, Oli had called the Nepal Communist Party’s parliamentary party’s deputy leader Subas Chandra Nembang seeking updates from Parliament.

Oli is said to return home this Friday.
